Maybe if Charlie had been a less flawed character, or if anybody in the entire film was likable on any scale of likability aside from Max. Ricky (Kevin Durand) was awful but I guess that made for a pretty good villain, Bailey (Evangeline Lilly) was a sad case and could have done so much better, and for my taste there was just not enough on screen time for Finn (Anthony Mackey. OK, so I liked two characters out of the whole bunch, Max and Finn. I just wanted something or anything from this film that delivered a tab bit more than expected. After having seen the trailer and then the movie it was of no surprise to me that there was pretty much nothing left to be desired at the screening. Because of my generous nature and because I thought that the robot special effects were reasonable, although if they had contacted the NFL and found out who designed their robot's movements, the bots would have moved a lot less clunky, I give it an amber light.
